I AM A CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE (CNM). PRIOR TO BECOMING A CNM, I PRACTICED AS A LABOR AND DELIVERY REGISTERED NURSE FOR 12 + YEARS.
Eight of those years were exclusive to Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Mother-Baby. I graduated from Frontier Nursing University's Nurse Midwifery program in March of 2022. Nurse midwifery is not popular in my home state of Louisiana, but it is growing.

One of my goals for the website is to help expedite the growing process through knowledge, education, and experience about all things WOMEN'S HEALTH.

I have one brilliant daughter who watches and mimics everything I do. She motivates me constantly to put my best foot forward and be the best I can be at all times. 

While working as a Labor and Delivery RN, I became aware of America's Maternal and Infant Mortality statistics. It was a problematic issue for a couple of reasons.
1. I live and practice in the state with the worst Maternal and Infant outcomes.
2. The rates affect people who look like me (black women and infants) four times more than others. I'm driven to bring awareness to these evidence-based statistics. Therefore, we can develop a solution to eradicate this terrible problem.
